Trial size beauty products!

Like any other girl, I love to try out the latest beauty products. The only problem is, a lot of the desirable products have undesirable price tags. The solution is... http://www.latestinbeauty.com/home.php. I love this site, all you have to do is sign up, then every month you can pick three items. 1 from the skin care section, 1 from the makeup & fragrances section and 1 from the hair & body section. Simples. Okay, I admit, they're not free, and the choice of products isn't massive (every time I log back on, there's a different set of products to chose from, though). But £1 isn't too bad for three trial sized products, in my opinion. Better than paying full price for a high end product which turns out to be not as good as you expected. The delivery of your items usually takes about 3-5 days and they come in a cute pink box (I would've taken a photo to show you but I binned the packaging earlier when I gave my room a huuuge tidy). Once you've got your goodies you can log back in and rate the products you received. I think this website is great and I've never had any problems with it and I would definitely recommend to any beauty addict to sign up!

So much for me keeping up with a blog...

I've been so busy recently but now i'm back on track and ready to blog! It's my birthday in November and i've been writing my birthday wishlist... So far I have the Urban Decay 'Naked' palette, IMATS tickets and various Sleek palettes. Never would've guessed I like makeup eh? I'm also hoping to start my first ever Youtube channel after my birthday! But for now, here's some random photos of eye makeup looks i've been doing. Might do some zombie halloween makeup soon too! I'll keep posting, I promise.

"Minutes to midnight" smokey eye

This is a dark smokey look, kind of inspired by the Alexandra Burke 'all night long' video. 

First off, I applied my urban decay primer potion all over my lid and up to my brow bone. 

Then, I used a flat eyeshadow brush to pack on the dark charcoal blue colour (the bottom one) from my beauty UK metallic eye quad - no. 2. I applied it all over my eye lid and to just above the crease. Using a small blending brush, I softened out the edges to create the smokey look. 

Next, I applied the silver/grey (2nd one down) colour from the same beauty UK quad. I used a small flat eyeshadow brush to sweep the colour from the inner corner of my eye to where the edge of my iris (coloured bit) finishes, using the same brush gently blend the colour in.

After that, I applied some Barry M dazzle dust in 9 (light silver colour) in my inner corner to brighten up my eyes. 

To highlight, I used the peachy cream colour from my frontcover winter 08/09 smoulder eyes palette under my brow bone. (I don't think you can get this palette any more, but any light shimmery colour will do)

Eyeliner next, I used my rimmel London exaggerate liquid eyeliner to line my lash line. (I need to get a new one because mine's running out, that's why its a bit thick and faded. Haha). Then I used my miss sporty eyeliner pencil in magic to tightline my waterlines.

Finally, I used two coats of my favourite ever mascara, max factor false lash effect in black.
